From London recruiter to cybersecurity career coach
I started my recruitment career in March 2011 at a boutique firm in London, focused on finance and accounting, and built strong networks across financial services: banking, investment management and exchanges.
In January 2016 I moved to Australia to set up the firm's Sydney office and focus on governance, risk and compliance recruitment.
In 2020 I founded Avidity Recruitment and joined SSR Personnel as a Director to lead their Australian expansion. I'm also the regional advisor for the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) in Australia and New Zealand.
I launched my YouTube channel in early 2024, and in January 2025 I founded Luke Gough Coaching and Consulting to help job seekers and professionals move into cybersecurity and GRC roles.
